Meghan Markle gets prominent support: After the Duchess accused the British royals on Sunday in an interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey of racism and lack of support, the pop icon Beyoncé thanked the 39-year-old. On her website, the singer wrote: "Thank you, Meghan, for your courage and your guidance. We are all strengthened and inspired by you." In addition, she posted a photo in which the two women can be seen together at a film premiere.

In the Oprah interview, the Duchess and her husband Prince Harry reported, among other things, that a member of the British royal family said before the birth of their son Archie, "how dark his skin could be when he is born," said Meghan. The couple had already announced in January 2020 that they wanted to withdraw from their royal duties.
