Why you should eat raw garlic every day

Garlic is not only a real miracle weapon in the fight against Count Dracula: If you want to do something good for your body, you should eat a (small) toe of raw garlic every day.

Garlic? Preferably raw!

Mainly responsible for the healthy effects of garlic is the sulfur compound allicin, which is initially found in the power bulb as its own precursor alliin.

Its health benefits are now valued worldwide - especially when it comes to our blood. This is because garlic is known to improve blood circulation by widening blood vessels.

Raw garlic: Use with caution

But while we're on the subject of the stomach: Anyone who has ever had stomach problems will be able to confirm that raw garlic is not really easy to digest.

The motto “The quantity makes the poison” applies to the miracle tuber: In too high doses, garlic can irritate the digestive tract and cause heartburn.

The blood-thinning effect of the toes described above can also be a problem - namely when blood-thinning medication is already being taken.

Of course, the smell that garlic leaves behind should not be despised: permanently contaminating bad breath and body odor is certainly not a good idea.

You can either opt for drinks and foods that weaken the garlic odor (such as ginger, parsley, milk or lemon) or you can choose to eat raw garlic, as in a regimen, for example over a period of four weeks, during which you then best to spend a lot of time at home and not in the gym!), and then go through life odor-free again.
