Tips for raid battles against Demeteros in Pokémon GO

W.hen you collect Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO have always been diligent, you may already have Boreos and Voltolos in your collection. You have the option to reunite the trio by defeating and capturing Demeteros in raid battles - but time is limited. Demeteros in incarnation will appear in Raid Battles from March 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. PDT to April 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. PDT, so grab one before it's too late.

If you're not sure how to best catch Demeteros, we have a few trembling Tips for you so that you don't get left behind. (Okay, they might be more common tips.)

The Premier Balls that you get by defeating Demeteros are the only Poké Balls you can use to catch it. So it is important to be well prepared. Maximize your chances by helping your team take over the arena before the battle, and then battle with your friends and choose powerful Pokémon. Take advantage of Demetero's weaknesses. Demeteros is famous for being one of the most formidable and combative Pokémon in the Pokémon RPGs, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have weaknesses to capitalize on. As a ground and flying Pokémon, Demeteros is particularly weak against ice attacks. So if you have a strong Snibunna, Mamutel, Arktos, Glaziola, Rossana, or even a Mewtwo who knows Ice Ray, you can get off to a good start (and don't forget that Crypto versions of Snibunna and Arktos are now doing even more damage than their counterparts dish up!). If you run out of ice types, you still have the option to take advantage of Demetero's weakness against water attacks, but these do much less damage than ice attacks during this encounter.

Pay attention to the weather. While the weather shouldn't affect your decisions against Demeteros as much as it would against any other raid boss, you might want to change your strategy a little if it rains. The best Water Pokémon will still do less damage in the rain than Ice Pokémon with equivalent powers. But since some of Demeteros' attacks - Focus Strike, Hail of Rocks, and Throwing Rocks - are very effective against Ice-Pokémon, it may be better if you use Water-Pokémon with Water attacks against the many possible attack combinations, as it will be much easier Keep Water Pokémon in play. At this point we have to highlight Sumpex - not only will it cause considerable damage if it can handle aqua howitzer, but it will withstand Demeteros ‘rock attacks as well.

If you defeat Demeteros you will be given a limited number of Premier Balls and you will have to use them to catch it. So make sure that you do your best with every throw. Fighting with your friends can earn you extra Premier Balls, so be sure to bring friends. Using a golden raspberry before each throw increases the chances of success significantly. You can stock up on them beforehand by defeating other raid bosses.

The chances of catching a Pokémon are greatest when the scope of the target ring is small enough to land a fabulous throw. A curveball can also increase your chances. But don't be too ambitious - if you are not sure that you can reliably throw fabulous curveballs, try to land good or great throws rather than risking missing the target ring entirely.

If your target moves you will be wasting your premier balls throwing. Wait until it goes wild and the target ring disappears. Then, fine-tune your throw so that when the Pokémon stops moving, the Premier Ball hits and the target ring just reappears.

Like all Legendary Pokémon, Demeteros is difficult to catch. So don't be discouraged if it slips away at the end of your first encounter.
