Andreas Bierod new cse managing director on April 1st

Essen, April 1st, 2020 "It will start like jumping on a train that is already moving fast", explains Andreas Bierod his entry into the cse in times of the corona pandemic and adds: "I take the services of the cse as well prepared for this crisis true. In particular, the colleagues at the Lambertus Stift are just growing beyond themselves. "

He is looking forward to the new task and has big plans not only for the times of the corona pandemic: "Corona acts like a catalyst for many questions that have been on the table for a long time: How can we improve the opportunities in social work benefit from digitization? How can we, as an employer, bring family and work, possibly also voluntary work, into harmony with one another? Which structures are necessary so that we can fulfill our tasks for the citizens of Essen in the best possible way? "

Born in Duisburg, he has lived in Essen for several years and is now also focusing his professional life here. He is moving from the Archdiocese of Paderborn to Essen. Since 2014 he has been the diocesan manager of the Malteser Hilfsdienste e.V. and has taken on various tasks and functions in its federal association and in the Paderborn diocese structures. The graduate financial economist and educational scientist has his roots in Catholic youth work and was previously a consultant to the federal management of the German Scouting Association Sankt Georg (DPSG) and chairman of the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) in Duisburg.

Andreas Bierod succeeds cse managing director Claudia Mandrysch. For personal reasons, she is leaving the cse at her own request in the 2nd quarter of 2020. This will result in a smooth transition in the cse management.

“Andreas Bierod enriches cse with his experiences and ideas as well as as a person. I look forward to working with him and wish him every success, ”said Christoph Bechler, chairman of the cse supervisory board.
