preparation

  1. Peel and chop the ginger and put in a saucepan. Pour the juice of a squeezed lemon over it. Pour the water on and simmer for 25 minutes over a low flame.
  2. Strain the cooked mass through a fine sieve into a clean second saucepan. Add the sugar and simmer again for 20 minutes, the sugar must dissolve completely.
  3. Then fill into sterile bottles while still hot and close. Let it cool down at room temperature. Then store the syrup in the cellar or enjoy immediately.
